Fried Chicken Necks

Judge me guilty this Fried Chicken Neck. I admit and I know how high in cholesterol this is but hey, forgive me again! I love its crispiness and juiciness. Fried Chicken Neck is a good chicken dish if you wanted to eat chicken but ran out of budget. So to make it even, serve them with vegetables. Just be careful to munch only 2 or 3 Fried Chicken Necks. You might find yourself later hypertensive. I hope not because...

McDonald’s Burger Caramba and Saucy Beef Rice

My husband and I went to Manila last August 5 to get some supplies for his contracts and went to Banawe, the car accessories selling mecca of the country. It was only then that I fully understood why my husband would let me go shopping alone or would leave me at the mall, do my shopping and he would just go find some food or just anywhere he pleased. Car things are not a thing for me so I asked him to drive me to...

Squash Bread

Feeding our kids with something healthier like vegetables and fruits is usually a fight scenario at homes and is such a hopeless mom’s mission to accomplish. Moms, like I, do some crazy ideas just to nosh my 3 year old son, Colby, with peas, broccoli or anything green like a spoon pretends to be an airplane to land on his tongue or hide bits of carrots under rice. Although lately, Colby seems to liken...

Chicken Sate at Pedritos Restaurant

Pedrito’s Restaurant may very well be one of the best restaurants in Dagupan City. Besides its amazingly delectable breads and pastries, the food haven is also known for some really good tasting meals paired with java or plain rice, that are worth the money.I got to eat at Pedrito’s again a few days ago and ordered the local favorite Chicken Sate. Pedrito’s Chicken Sate is a grilled chicken glazed...

Adobong Pata ng Baboy (Pork Hock)

Considered by many Filipinos, Pork Adobo is the country’s national dish. It is a pork cooked in vinegar, garlic and soy sauce. None I guess in the country who has not served this dish even once and no Filipino who has not tasted this dish yet. Adobo extended its variety from pork to Chicken Adobo, Seafood Adobo, Adobong Kambing (goat meat), Beef Adobo and many more and became known across the world. It is...

Filipino Chopsuey

Vegetable dishes serve as the other half of the plate or counterweight of a balanced meal. Pairing sweeter vegetables with more full-bodied and robust main courses, mild or slightly seasoned vegetables with intense flavored meats, and sweet-and-sour pickled vegetables as side dish with a mellow grilled, steamed or fried fish or meat. Imagine the texture and taste – a creamy and chewy mashed potatoes with...

Empanada

As a working mom, I usually prepare and leave bites and nibbles in our home so anytime my husband and my son would be starving, warming the food up a little bit is the only thing they needed to do before a hearty meal. I have known baking Empanadas since I was in grade school. My mom taught me how to bake them and she was also the one who introduced me to entrepreneurship by selling them to my classmates. I made a...
